Artist Statement
Lazy Lefty Art started with the radical claim that laziness is a virtue. My art practice celebrates laziness as the place where creativity happens, resisting hustle culture and the romanticization of overwork. I was drawn to hand-cut paper collage as someone with a predisposition for collection. I love the scavenger hunt of assemblage. My works are sourced from magazines, secondhand books, and photo albums to bring new life to discarded images. I also appreciate collage as an accessible form that grants entry to anyone with a pair of scissors. I hope my works inspire others to cut shit up!
